You can use this process to define a new dashboard for Business Context Viewer (BCV).

Process

To create a new dashboard, perform the following steps:

  1. Open the configuration center, and choose Define Dashboards.

  2. On the Create Dashboard screen, enter the context key and description ID. Press ENTER.

  3. You can now enter the description, configuration ID, and subject group. You can also set the dashboard as private.

  4. Save your entries.

  5. You can now choose Define Layout and in the new window, select the query views that you want display in the new dashboard. Choose Query View Catalog to display the available query views that you can add to the dashboard.

    You have to define the query views before defining new dashboards. For more information, see Definition of Query Views.

    You can also add CHIPs that are not provided by BCV to the dashboard. You can select these CHIPs from the Non-BCV CHIPs folder of the CHIP catalog. To use this feature, you must activate the FND, Business Context Viewer NWBC Side Panel (/BCV/NWBC_SIDEPANEL) business function.

  6. Define the position of the query view on the dashboard.

  7. Save the dashboard.
