Entering Index Values Manually You can use this function to enter index values in the SAP system manually.

under
Basic Functions
.
Before you enter an index value for the first time, you must define the index in the IMG activity
Define Index
, and an index type in the IMG activity
Define Index Type.
Both IMG activities are part of Customizing for
Corporate Finance Management
under
Basic Functions.
You can enter new data and/or change or delete existing entries. The input help functions
Copy as, Undo change
and
Position
are available to assist you.
Choose
The
Change View “Index Values (Secur. Index)”: Overview
screen appears, which contains a table of all the index values entered so far.
To change an existing value, you can overwrite the contents of the
Index value
and
Source
fields.
Note
Use the
Position
function to access the value you want to change directly. Enter the
Securities index
, the
Index type
and the
Price date
you are searching for. The required index value moves to the top of the list.
To delete an entry, select it and choose
Delete
.
To make a new entry, choose
New entries
. Maintain the new values by entering the following:
Index
Index type
Price date
Index value
Source(enter manually)
Note
To enter a new index value, you can use the
Copy as
function on the initial screen to copy an existing entry as a reference. You then make any changes manually.
Choose
Undo change
to cancel any changes you have made.
Save the changed data.
