Request Current Market Data

Use

You use program RFTBDF07 ( TBD4) to request current market data. The selected market data is obtained by means of the datafeed interface and is written to a market data buffer.

To update market data (such as exchange rates and security prices) in the market data tables, set the Save Market Data Permanently in System indicator, if defined in the Customizing settings. However, the system performs an actual update only in the case of market data for which the Update indicator has been set in Customizing. All other market data is updated in the market data buffer only.

To display current market data for simulation purposes only, deactivate the Save Market Data Permanently in System indicator, if defined in the Customizing settings .

Prerequisites

Activities

  1. In the area menu for Treasury and Risk Management , choose Basic Functions -> Market Data Management -> Datafeed -> Request Current Market Data (transaction TBD4). Alternatively, use transaction SE38to execute program RFTBDF07.

  2. Enter the data necessary for your selection.

  3. Choose the Execute (F8) pushbutton. The system returns the market data basic list .

  4. To print the market data list, chooseList -> Print.
