Infotype 0036 Social Insurance CH

Use

You use this infotype to record the social insurance data of your employees. The data is processed by the system during the payroll run and during the creation of reports relevant to social insurance.

Payroll can only be run if a valid infotype record exists for an employee. Alternatively, the system cancels payroll and creates an error message for the relevant personnel number.

Structure

When you first process the infotype, enter the following data:

Specifications for AHV/UI

The specifications for AHV obligation control the social insurance obligation of the employee for Swiss social insurance. The system supplies the default value 1 (normal liability). The AHV contributions to be deducted are calculated according to the employee’s age and sex.

If the AHV number or social insurance number (new AHV number) is known, state this. The social insurance number replaces the old 11-digit AHV number as of 2008. If you know both numbers, you store them both simultaneously. Generally, the check is carried out according to the official regulations for the number.

Dependent on the assignment of the employee to a payroll unit AHV/ALV, you can control whether the first eight figures of the AHV number act as default values in accordance with the official table. You can deactivate the check of the AHV number check digit by entering 000 for the last three digits of the AHV number.

For the social insurance number, the system always checks whether the check digit at the end matches the rest of the number. If it doesn’t match, the system generates an error message.

Specifications for the percentage SI obligation and the unemployment insurance fund to be settled are hidden in the SAP standard system. If the percentage-based SI obligation is activated in the system, entries are only made for those employees who are subject to a percentage-based SI obligation. The unemployment insurance fund to be settled is determined using the payroll unit and therefore no longer stored in the SAP standard system in the infotype.

Accident insurance

Enter the company area which represents the employee in terms of the risk category for accident insurance as the internal company area.

Enter the employee’s degree of obligation as regards industrial accident insurance. The system uses this entry to calculate the premiums for the obligatory accident insurance and for the division of the premiums between employee and employer.

The NIA supplemental insurance specification controls the voluntary insurance under the SUVA maximum with which payments over 80% of the insured wage can be covered. The entry you make controls the premium calculation and the division of the amount into employer and employee shares.

Family-related bonuses

You only make data entries related to a cantonal family equalization fund and a company rule, if a special cantonal or internal company rule has to be entered that differs from the payroll unit specifications for the employee.
