Transport of a Consolidation Area

Use

You use this tool to transport a consolidation area along with all of its Customizing settings, master data, and hierarchies.

Prerequisites

The consolidation area and its Customizing settings, master data, and hierarchies already exist.

Features

This tool transports the Customizing settings of a consolidation area, and also the master data and hierarchies that belong to that consolidation area.

Bundling all of the objects of a consolidation area spares you the effort of adding each individual object to a transport request.

Activities

  1. Go to the tools view of the Workbench .

  2. Choose Start of the navigation path Cons Area-dependent Settings Next navigation step Transport End of the navigation path .

  3. Specify the consolidation area you want to transport.

  4. Select which Customizing objects, master data, and hierarchies you want to transport.

  5. Choose Execute .

  6. In the dialog box that appears, specify the transport request and confirm.

  7. The system produces a list of the objects that have been added to the transport request.
