Assignment Checks for Dagger and Asterisk/Excl. Point Diagnoses

Use

This process only applies in create or change mode.

  • When processing a dagger diagnosis:

    • If there are no assignments for this dagger diagnosis, the system attempts to create an assignment automatically. It searches for all the other asterisk/exclamation point diagnoses on the table screen that do not yet have an assignment. If there are asterisk/exclamation point diagnoses to which this applies, the system checks whether the dagger diagnosis to be checked is the only one of the diagnoses that are displayed on the table screen. If this is the case, the system assigns all the asterisk/exclamation point diagnoses that do not currently have assignments to this dagger diagnosis.

    • If automatic assignment is unsuccessful, the system issues the following error message in background processing: You cannot enter dagger diagnosis &1 unless an asterisk diagnosis exists (message class N6, message 655).

In dialog mode, on the other hand, the system attempts to make an assignment by interacting with the user. It lists all the asterisk/exclamation point diagnoses that do not have an assignment so that the user can select one. The system then assigns the selected diagnosis to the dagger diagnosis. If there are no free asterisk/exclamation point diagnoses or the user rejects the assignment, the system issues the error message mentioned above (N6, 655).

    • The check is based on the Customizing entries in the IS-H AT: Diagnoses: Asterix/Dagger Validation table (TNWATDIA_STERNKR).

  • When processing an asterisk/exclamation point diagnosis (similar to dagger diagnosis):

    • If there are no assignments for this asterisk diagnosis, the system attempts to create an assignment automatically. The system searches for all the dagger diagnoses in the diagnoses displayed on the table screen.

If there is only one dagger diagnosis, a unique assignment is possible.

      Note Note

The system then enters the sequence number of this diagnosis in field DIA_LINK for the asterisk/exclamation point diagnosis at database level.

      End of the note.
    • If automatic assignment is unsuccessful, the system issues the following error message in batch processing: You cannot enter asterisk diagnosis &1 unless a dagger diagnosis exists (message class N6, message 653).

In dialog mode, the system prompts the user to select one of the possible dagger diagnoses. If the user rejects the assignment or there is no dagger diagnosis, the system issues the above error message (message class N6, message 653).
