Archiving Objects

Objects that can be created using the generic object services for an application (PC-based documents, notes, URLs, and sent objects) can be archived using the archiving class SGOS.

You can use class CL_GOS_API to read the objects from the archive.

Links to the application object are lost during archiving and the objects can no longer be viewed using the generic object service. The corresponding documents and send requests that have been sent are then deleted from the database using the BCS reorganization report.
