Managing Substitution Rules in the BPM Inbox
You use this procedure to create and manage substitution rules to manage your tasks in your absence.
Prerequisites
You and your substitute has BPEM End User role.
Creating Substitution Rules

Choose the Manage Substitution Rules icon

In the My Substitutes window, choose New to create a substitution rule.

In the Create Substitution Rule window, enter or select a user in the Substitute field.

If you are unavailable due to planned leave, set Automatic Forwarding to On .
The Inactive section of the I Am Substituting tab page displays the substitution rule till the current date. In the current date, the system activates the tasks and the tasks are visible in the Active section.

If you are unavailable due to an unexpected absence, you can create the substitution rule in advance and set Automatic Forwarding to Off .
Enabling Substitution Rules

To enable substitution rules, select Manage Substitution Rules .

In the My Substitutes tab page, view the substitution rules you have created.

To stop your substitute from receiving your tasks, disable the substitution rule by choosing the Off button.

To delete a substitution rule, choose the Delete icon.

In I Am Substituting tab page, you can view the substitution rules created by other users who have nominated you as a substitute.
The Inactive section displays the substitution rules which you have either not accepted or which are not within the current date range. The rule moves to the Active section and you start receiving tasks of your assignee in your inbox.

To accept or to take over the rule from the Inactive section, choose On .
