Operations
You can perform operations on SAP instances, SAP HANA instances, or SAP Cloud Appliance Library solution instances.
You can also manage identical systems (same SAPSYSTEMNAME and same host names) or cloned systems. For each system (also the source system), you must maintain the profile parameter system/uuid. SAP Landscape Management can contact each application instance of the source as well as the cloned system using a unique host name which might be a fully qualified domain name and IP address activated on the host. The SAP Landscape Management software can manage application instances and hosts using fully qualified domain names.
Operations for Adaptive Enabled Systems and Instances
This section provides an overview of operations that are available in SAP Landscape Management for adaptive enabled systems and instances.
Operations for Non-Adaptive Enabled Systems and Instances
This section provides an overview of operations that are available in SAP Landscape Management for traditionally installed system and instances, that are not adaptive enabled.
Operations for SAP HANA Systems and Instances
This section describes operations that are available for SAP HANA instances.
Instance Operations
This section provides information for performing operations and mass operations on instances.
Tenant Database Operations
This section provides information for performing operations on tenant databases.
Other Operations
This section provides information for performing other operations such as setting notes or scheduling validations.
Remote Function Call Operations
This section provides information for performing remote function call operations such as get logged on users, get active batch jobs, or create system message.
Cluster Manager Operations on Instances
This section provides information for performing operations on SAP systems running within High Availability clusters.
SAP HANA Replication
This section provides information for performing replication operations on SAP HANA systems. System replication is a mechanism for ensuring the high availability of your SAP HANA system. Through the continuous replication of data from a primary to a secondary system, including in-memory loading, system replication facilitates rapid failover in the event of a disaster. Productive operations can be resumed with minimal downtime.
Managing Hosts in the Landscape
You manage computing hosts such as physical servers, in the landscape. When you manage hosts in the landscape, you can view details of all the available hosts in the adaptive computing landscape.
Exporting Entity Properties
You export instance, host, virtual host, or storage properties to an XML file.
Viewing Storage Information
You view information about storage entities such as storage managers, storage systems, volume groups, storage pools, storage volumes, and logical volumes.
Virtual Element Operations
This section provides information for performing operations and mass operations on virtual elements.
Operation Templates
You can create operation templates where you combine operations available for execution as per your needs on entities specified. An operation template also contains all required parameters, and therefore you can execute or schedule an operation template without further user interaction.
Schedules
Schedule operation templates to be executed on instances, systems, or hosts at specific points in time.
