Performing an Unattended Installation

Prerequisites

Make sure that SNC encryption is enabled on the AS ABAP.

Context

You want to install SNC Client Encryption on workstations in your landscape. You either have SAP GUI already installed on your target workstations, or want to install both packages later.

Procedure

  1. Downloaded the SNC Client Encryption executable from the Software Download Center at Start of the navigation pathhttps://service.sap.com swdc Next navigation step Installations and Upgrades Next navigation step Browse our Download Catalog Next navigation step SAP Cryptographic Software Next navigation step SNC Client EncryptionEnd of the navigation path.
  2. Open the archive and extract the file sapsncclientencryption.exe.
  3. Configure your tools to distribute sapsncclientencryption.exe to your workstations with the following command:

    sapsncclientencryption.exe /silent

    Installation Option

    Description

    /silent

    Nothing is visible.

    /nodig

    A progress bar is displayed.

    The installation procedure of SNC Client Encryption starts without displaying the installation screen and installs the software on the target workstations.

Results

You have now installed SNC Client Encryption on your workstation.

Have your workstation users configure SAP GUI to use the SNC protocol.
