Configuring SNC for Using the SAPCRYPTOLIB Using SAPGENPSE

Use

Use the command line tool sapgenpse to configure SNC for server types that do not offer a such a tool, such as, SAProuter or the application servers previous to release 6.10.

Procedure

Install the SAP Cryptographic Library.

For more information, see Installing the SAP Cryptographic Library on an Arbitrary Server.
Create the PSE.

For more information, see Creating a PSE for the Server Using SAPGENPSE.
Note

If you are using a single PSE for all server components, then you can:
- Copy an existing PSE from the file system to use as the PSE for SNC.
- Copy the PSE you create on this server to the other server components to use as the SNC PSE.
If the component has several hosts, you can create a single PSE on one host and copy it to the other hosts.
Create credentials for the server.

If you are using individual PSEs, then exchange the security information between the server and its communication partners.
