Copying an If-Then Rule

Procedure

Locate the ruleset , expand the ruleset node, the Rules folder and in the context menu of a rule node, choose Copy .

Locate the flow ruleset , expand the flow ruleset node, the Rules folder and in the context menu of a rule node, choose Copy .

If you want to copy more than one if-then rule, in the context menu of the Rules folder choose Copy .
In the context menu of the Rules folder in a ruleset or flow ruleset, choose Paste .

You can copy and paste if-then rules across DCs
When you make copies of an if-then rule in a single ruleset, you can identify the copied version of the if-then rule using the prefix "Copy of". For instance when you copy and paste a rule called "DiscountRule" in a single ruleset, a copy of the rule gets created with suffix 1, "Copy of DiscountRule".
If the if-then rule you copy uses definitions, the definitions are also copied to the new ruleset.
If the if-then rule you copy from one ruleset uses another if-then rule, you need to copy all the if-Tthen rules into the other ruleset. For instance if rule R1 uses rule R2 in ruleset1, you need to copy both R1 and R2 to ruleset2. Otherwise the copy paste function will not work. However, if a rule R2 already exists in ruleset2, you can paste R1 from ruleset1 to ruleset2. In this case R1 will use R2 in ruleset2.
