Overriding an If-Then Rule

Use

If there are two if-then rules and you want only one if-then rule to be executed and the other rule to get ignored, you can override one rule over the other.

A rule can override more than one rule. You cannot change the priority of a rule that is used to override other rules.

Procedure

  1. Locate the ruleset and double-click a ruleset node.

For more information, see Locating the Ruleset

The ruleset editor appears with the Overview tab page open.

  2. In the Rules in 'ruleset' section, in the context menu of a rule name, choose Override Rule .

  3. In the dialog box that appears select a checkbox with a corresponding rule name.

  4. Choose OK .

You should see the overridden rule name in the Overrides column.
