Downloading Runtime Rules Content into SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio

Prerequisites

You have a running instance of SAP AS.

Context

You use this procedure to download changes made in the rules projects from the Rules Manager to the Rules Composer. The two versions of rules projects that you can download in the Rules Composer perspective of the NWDS are given in the table below:

Active Version

This is the version of the rules project in which rules are executed when they are invoked.

Latest Version

This is the latest version of the rules project which reflects all the changes that have been made to the rules project.

Procedure

  1. In the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio, choose Start of the navigation pathWindows Next navigation step Open Perspective Next navigation step OtherEnd of the navigation path.
  2. In the dialog box, choose Rules Composer .
  3. In the Project Explorer view, in the context menu of Rules Modeling , choose Download Runtime Version .
  4. In the Download Runtime Version dialog box, select the server in which you want to deploy the Rules Composer DC.
  5. If you want to download the version of the project used while invoking the Rules Project, choose Active Version .
  6. If you want to download the version of the rules project with all the latest changes in it, choose Latest Version .
