Futures Account
A futures account is a management unit that allows you to manage your positions. You need this type of account for listed options and futures, since these require position management.
The futures accounts created in the system usually correspond to actual futures accounts.
If you want to buy a listed option or a future, you need to have created them in the system as a class (transaction FWZZ), as well as having created a futures account (transaction TPM4).
Note
Before you can set up a futures account, you need to create the bank at which you keep your futures account as a business partner in the role of depository bank
.
When you enter the purchase in the system, you select the class and the futures account.
Two report programs are available in the back office area for listed derivatives: Futures Account Cash Flow and Position in Futures Account. For more information on margin calculation, see the "Master Data" area by choosing Class Position in the Futures Account.
A futures account is identified by the company code
and the futures account ID
for which you can also enter a name.
The master data of a futures account is stored in the following tab pages:
Bank Data
Here, you specify at which depository bank, with which external clearing account, and on which broker account
the positions for the futures account are managed. You also specify the relevant house bank details and the business area. If you have portfolios, you assign the futures account to the portfolios in this tab page.
