Settings Using Additional Print Options

Use

When printing forms, you can choose additional print options (for example, input tray, output tray, color printing, and duplex printing). These additional print options are displayed when printing SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe only if you are using a particular ADS version and special device types.

You can choose the additional print options in the standard spool dialog, once you have specified a compatible printer and pressed ENTER. The additional print options are applied to the whole print output (that is, the output in a spool request).

In some cases a form is printed without the spool dialog being displayed (for example, if a form is printed using a background job). It is possible to select a set of additional print options in these cases as well. To do so, you have to define a print ticket containing the required print options in the definition of the output device in the spool administration function (transaction SPAD). You can then use this print ticket in the print program. The name of the print ticket must be passed to the PRINTTICKET field of the SFPOUTPUTPARAMS structure when the FP_JOB_OPEN function module is called.

Prerequisites

You are using a printer that is defined with the appropriate device type in the spool administration function.
