Caching Forms

Use

Forms are sent to Adobe Document Services (ADS) for processing. This function enables you to optimize communication with ADS by caching the form layout on the server where ADS is installed.

Prerequisites

To use this function, you require SAP NetWeaver Support Package Stack 6 or higher.

Activities

You activate the caching function in the CACHING field of the FPCONNECT table. You can specify the value of CACHING by using the Data Browser (SE16). This setting applies to all forms in your Web AS ABAP. The following values are allowed:

X (Caching activated)
- (Caching deactivated)
No entry (the default setting is used: caching activated)

The table FPCONNECT also contains fields for controlling form bundling.
