Integrating External Master Data into Order-Based Planning in Separate Tasks

As announced in SAP IBP 2205, if you integrate master data using SAP Cloud Integration for data services, you won't be able to integrate master data both into order-based planning (OBP) (external master data) and time-series-based planning areas in the same data load as of SAP IBP 2211. If you want to integrate both external master data into order-based planning in SAP IBP and master data for time-series-based planning areas, you'll have to create separate tasks for them.

The following external master data types can be integrated into OBP using SAP Cloud Integration for data services:

  • Transportation resources

  • Transportation lane resource assignments

  • Product substitutions

  • Data relevant for demand-driven replenishment in OBP
