Manager
The main objectives of the manager role are as follows:
Search for reporting employees within an expanded pod
View details of the reporting employees
Perform actions on the reporting employees or selected multiple employees.
Note
The manager can launch the solution from the My Team
lane under MSS application.
As part of standard Customizing, manger can switch between employee reporting line and organizational structure views, that is, the managers can view relationships between employees and relationships between organizational unit, position, and employee.
The following features are available for the manager role:
Drill Down
You can drill down to any level in the organizational structure within the expanded pod. You can navigate within the canvas and move one level up or move one level down in the organizational structure. The managers can drill down in two ways as follows:

Click the card.
Search
You can search and filter for an employee within the expanded pod. To search for employees under other managers, the manager has to drill down first and then search for the required employee.
Actions
You can view profiles (Talent Profile, Compensation Profile) and perform actions on multiple employees within the expanded pod. The two sets of actions configured in launchpad are as follows:
Single employee
You can configure the standard actions in the launchpad (transaction LPD_CUST
) using the following role and instance:
Launchpad Role: MSS
Launchpad Instance: EMPLOYEE_MENU,POSITION_MENU,ORGANIZATION_MENU
Multiple employees
