The rating function of SAP Convergent Charging uses a set of data to complete its tasks at runtime. All of this data, for which the values vary over time, is referred to as the rating context. Data that is part of a rating context is also referred to, in more general terms, as rating context properties.
The properties of a chargeable item or the following sources provide the results of usage used to calculate prices:
Counter values from subscriptions or provider contracts
Parameter values from subscriptions, offers, provider contracts, charge plans, or charges
Translation table or tier table rows
Subscription or provider contract properties such as dates, for example

Note: When you are at the stage of adjusting and finalizing your offer or charge plan, you can view the rating context in detail. You can also manipulate it in the GUI by performing a trial run on the price plan. |
