Create, open or modify a user before setting it up. A user window must be open.
Fill in or modify the user window.
Log on: Type the unique identifier of the new user. This identifier will be used by the user to log on the Core Tool.
With Password: This field is available only when creating a user for the first time. Click this option to create the password authentication for the new user, and then type the password in the Password field.

Catalog: Only available when the user administrator that creates a new user or modifies an existing one is not associated to a catalog. Select the pricing catalog to associate to the SAP user for whom you want to implement restrictions on master data related to a service provider (pricing catalog) or related to its end customers (subscriber accounts, provider contracts, and so on).
Modify Password: This field is available after an SAP CC user is created and saved in the back-end database. Click this option to modify the user's password, and then type the password in the Password field.
Lock User: This field (*) is available only after a user is created and saved in the database. Click this option if you want to lock the user. If locked, no operation is possible as long as the user is locked. Only an administrator or a user administrator can unlock a user.
Force Password Modification: This field (*) is only relevant for individual users and is used to force users to change their passwords next time they logon to an SAP CC user interface. This field is automatically checked:
After an individual user is created
Every time the password of an individual user has been changed
(*) This field must be configured by your administrator to be displayed in the window. For more information, refer to your administrator.
Security profile
Individual user: This option applies a strong password policy for the user. We recommend using this option for individual users. The strong password policy includes:
Password expiration and locking policy if the system is configured according to the security policy for user passwords.
High complexity for password encryption. You can configure it at system level.
Service User: This option deactivates the strong password policy for the user. Password expiration and locking policy are not applied. The complexity of password encryption is adapted to service (technical) users. You can configure it at system level. We recommend not using this option for individual users.
