Modifying a tier table

You can modify a tier table by adding, modifying, or deleting content. When you save it in the database, you can modify its versions.

You cannot modify the name or the structure of the tier table once you have saved it.

Note: Applicable to offers and subscriptions but not applicable to charge plans, provider contracts, or refill plans.

If your configuration of SAP Convergent Charging uses the prerating and postrating features and if there are unresolved prerating events for the subscription that uses your tier table, modifying the tier table may lead to a postrating result that differs from its corresponding prerating result.

If there are unresolved prerating events in the database, it is recommended to wait until they have been postrated or until the rating record list has been cleared.

In addition, do not save a new version of a tier table to a date before the last prerating operation because this will lead to a rating error.

(*): The note is equally true for the session-based rating feature. For example, if there are pending sessions, modifying a tier table may result in errors.
