Importing a range table

You can import range tables in XML format from a directory to your database.

Note that only one version of a range table can exist in a database. You can import the unique version of a range table class into SAP CC Core Tool.

To import a range table

  1. Log on and connect to the target SAP CC system.

  2. From the menu bar in the main window, select File > Import. The Open dialog box opens.

  3. Open the directory in which the range table is saved, and then select the range table file.

  4. Click Open. The Import Objects dialog box opens.

  5. Leave the default All versions option selected.

  1. In the Import column, clear the check boxes of objects you do not wish to import.

  2. Click Import.

 

Note: SAP CC Core Tool can only import an object which has previously been exported and saved (File > Export), rather than saved directly in a file (File > Save > In a File).

This is because the export process saves all versions of an object and the objects attached to it, rather than just one version that lacks associated objects. The import process requires all versions and associated objects to be available.
