Creating the consumption item mapping

Use this procedure to map a consumption item class onto a chargeable item class.

Note: When creating the consumption item mapping, the chargeable item class is automatically created if it does not exist.

To create the consumption item mapping

  1. From the menu bar in the main window, select File > New > Consumption Item Mapping. The Choose Consumption Item Class dialog box opens.

  2. In the Consumption Item Class list of the dialog box, select a consumption item class.

  1. Click OK to create the consumption item mapping. The window of the new consumption item mapping is displayed (*).

  2. Verify the structure of the consumption item mapping by clicking the Verify icon on the main window toolbar. Correct all elements underlined in red.

  3. Save the consumption item mapping.

 

(*) Notes: You cannot manually modified the elements of the window of the consumption item mapping in the Core Tool.

You can only click:

  • The icon to refresh the consumption item mapping (synchronization with SAP ERP/FI-CA)

  • The icon to open the related chargeable item class

Remember that you can do these operations only if you have first saved the consumption item mapping in the database.
