  5. Verify the charge structure by clicking the Verify icon on the main window toolbar. Correct all elements underlined in red.

  6. Save the charge.

You can create a charge by opening an existing charge and copying it.

To create a charge from an existing charge

  2. In the Owner drop-down menu, select the owner of the charge.

  3. In the Charges folder of the catalog of the owner, select the charge to copy.

  4. Select the Open a Copy check box, and then click Open. The corresponding charge window opens.

  5. Rename the charge in the Name field, and then set up the charge.

  6. Verify the charge structure by clicking the Verify icon on the main window toolbar. Correct all elements underlined in red.

  7. Save the charge.

Notes:

  • A dependent charge depends on another charge in order to be calculated or triggered.

  • Each Usage Rate component configured in a price plan can only refer to an exclusive chargeable item class, which means two usage rates cannot share the same chargeable item class (this is true for a Usage Charging in a charging plan).

  • For more information about working with rating or charging components, see Working with price plans (or Working with charging plans) in this folder, or click Components on the Help menu of the main window.
