Creating an access

You can create or modify a user access at two levels: From the File menu or in a subscription.

Important: You can assign user accesses to master charges only.    

From the File menu

To create a user access from the File menu

  1. From the menu bar in the main window, select File > New > Access. The Choose owner dialog box opens.

  2. In the Owner of Object drop-down menu, select the owner of the access.

  3. Click OK. The new access window opens.

  4. Set up the user access.

  5. Verify the user access structure by clicking the Verify icon on the main window toolbar. Correct all elements underlined in red.

  6. Save the user access.

In a subscription

Important: After creating a subscription, the User Accesses tab is available only after you save the subscription.    

Before adding a user access to a master charge in a subscription, you must:  

  1. Create a master charge containing a usage rate.

  2. Create an offer containing the charge.

  3. Create a subscription to the offer and save the subscription.

  4. Select the master charge in the subscription tree.

To create a user access in a subscription

  1. Make sure that the subscription is open; otherwise, open the subscription and select the master charge to which you want to assign a user access.

  2. Click the User Accesses tab.

  3. On the User Accesses tab, click to add a user access to the table. The New Access window opens.

  4. Set up the user access.

  5. Verify the user access structure by clicking the Verify icon on the main window toolbar. Correct all elements underlined in red.

  6. Save the user access.
