One-Shot Rate

The One-Shot Rate component creates in the decision tree a main branch that is charged only when precise events related to subscriptions or provider contracts occur. These events are the following:

Note: The early cancellation of a subscription occurs if the subscription is cancelled before the planned End Obligation Date.

Rules

The rules are the following:

(*): The Cancellation Date is available only if you select "Cancellation" or "Early cancellation" in the Event Name box of the Definition tab. The Cancellation Date only applies to subscriptions.

Use

You use the One-Shot Rate component to configure one-off fees in SAP Convergent Charging. A One-Shot Rate specifies the triggering dates of fees relating to events linked to subscriptions or provider contract items. You can use this component to charge an end customer for the equipment installation fees, the creation fees of a subscription or a contract, the cancellation fees of a subscription, and so on.

Example

For a chargeable item class called “Telephone Service”, every new customer has to pay a one-time installation fee, which is paid when the subscription or the contract is signed. This charge can be rated with a One-Shot Rate, which is activated by the “Activation” event.
