Charging components are used to create a charging plan in a charge. Together the components make up a charging tree. You create a charging plan to configure the determination of the prepaid account or the external postpaid account to be debited or credited with the calculated amount of the executed price plan.
To create a charging tree, you must:
Select a Charging component.
Add components from other families to the charging tree according to your charging plan requirements.
End each branch of the tree with a Reference component.
In SAP Convergent Charging, logic components are grouped into families according to their functional usage. Each component is represented by a specific icon. In the graphical user interface, these families are represented by a specific color and icon, and they are visible in the toolbar of the Charge window. A component is of the same color as the family which it belongs to.
