About the basic components

The basic components are used in the trees and branches of the following:

Rate components
Charging components
Refill components
Trigger components
Pricing macros (for more information, see the primary help of Core Tool)

Note: The matrix of components shows which basic components you can use in the master data objects (price plans, charging plans, pricing macros, refill plans, and allowance plans).

Component families

In SAP Convergent Charging, logic components are grouped into families according to their functional usage. Each component is represented by a specific icon. In the graphical user interface, these families are represented by a specific color and an icon, and they are visible in the toolbar of the Charge, Pricing macro, Refill, or Allowance window. A component is of the same color as the family which it belongs to. The following table presents these component families:

	Splitters	- Splits a number or duration - Generates and rates multiple branches	Middle area of the decision tree: - after Rates and Refills - before Functions
