The Recurring Trigger component creates in the decision tree a main branch that is activated on a periodic basis. This component is characterized by an activation rule expressed by a:
Frequency (day, week, month, year)
Starting date and hour
The rules are the following:
The recurring trigger is activated only during the validity period of the allowance
The recurring trigger is executed at the beginning of the recurring periods (for example, if the recurring trigger period starts from the first day to the last day of the month, the recurring trigger is executed the first of the month), except for the first recurring period where it is executed at the activation date of the allowance.
The allowance logic can contain several Recurring Triggers.
When you insert a Recurring Trigger in the allowance logic, some properties (*) are available in the Recurring Trigger branch.
(*) These properties are the following:
Event Date: The date of the recurring event
Validity Start Date: The start date of the validity period of the allowance
Validity End Date: The end date of the validity period of the allowance
Allowance Unique Identifier: The unique identifier of the allowance
Currency Code: The currency code of the allowance
ISO Currency Code: The currency code of the allowance in the ISO format
You use the Recurring Trigger component to reset allowances on a periodic basis.
As an operator, you propose a recharge providing 6GB 3G data for a period of 90 days to your new customers. At the end of the period, the allowance is reset through a Recurring Trigger component.
Name: Type the name of the component (mandatory). Choose an appropriate name because it is reused as the label of pricing transactions.
Description: Allows you to type the description of the component (optional).
This tab defines the frequency and the starting date for activating the Recurring Trigger.
Reference Date: Provides the list of dates for activating the Recurring Trigger component. Select a date that you can combine with the parameters chosen in the Periodicity area to activate the Recurring Trigger component.
Periodicity: Provides the list of frequencies (Every, Every other, Every 3nd, and other items) associated with the following list: day, week, month, and year. For example, you can activate the Recurring Trigger Every 3nd month on Tuesday (Refer to the Recurring Rate for selecting the starting date because the options are the same).
