Adding a Rating component

The chargeable item is complete. Now you must add a Rating component to send the chargeable item to SAP CC Core Server.

Make sure that the parameters Server Host Name and Server Port relating to SAP CC Core Server are correct. Ask your Administrator, if you are not sure of these parameters.

To add and set up a Rating

  1. In the scenario tree, click in the Chargeable Item Creation Action component to make the component toolbar available.

  1. On the component toolbar, select Exports, and then click Rating (Message protocole). A Rating component is added to the tree. You can set it up in the identification area.

  1. In the identification area, in Name, type RateChargeableItem as the name of the component.

  2. In Description, type Rate the chargeable item using the server localhost.

  3. In the Definition tab, do the following:

  1. In the Input XCI key list, select XCI.

  2. In Server host name, type the workstation name that hosts SAP CC Core Server. For example, MyWorkStation. You can also type an IP address such as 10.1.12.120 for example, or type localhost if SAP CC Core Server is running on your computer. You can use both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.

  1. In Server port, type 2000. This server port address is the default one. Make sure that SAP CC Core Server is running on this port.

  2. In the Transaction mode list, select All transactions. All the transactions relating to the master charges, the dependent charges, and the recurring rate components are returned by the server. If necessary, the transactions can be retrieved through an XCI via a Java Action component.
