Setting up the Rating Trial Run tool

Once you have opened the Rating Trial Run tool, you first need to choose the component to be tested if your price plan is made up of several components, and then you must set the property values of the price plan depending on your needs.

To set up the Rating Trial Run tool

  1. In the Rating of list of the Rating Trial Run window, select the rate component that you want to test: Usage Rate, Recurring Rate, or One-Shot Rate. The Rating Trial Run tool tests only one rating branch at a time.

  2. (*) If you have selected Recurring Rate as the component to be tested, you must also select the event that triggers the consumption of this rate in the Recurring Event field: Normal Trigger, Agreement Signature, or Agreement Cancellation.

  3. In the Input Properties area, change or set the values of the properties that are used by your price plan in the rating process. If necessary, use the vertical scroll bar to move the properties up or down. The values that you have typed or changed are displayed in red.

(*) This step does not apply to Usage Rates and One-Shot Rates.

When the Rating Trial Run tool is set up, you can run it.
