Each time that you create a new simulation or modify an existing simulation, you create or modify its environment before executing the simulation.
At least one product, one price plan, and one customer profile are needed to execute a simulation; however, other simulation components can be used if needed. For example, you may need to create a cost when a payment is made to a third party.
To configure a simulation, you must first define its environment by setting up the different tabs of the New Simulation window as described in the following procedure.
To set up a simulation
Click the Elements tab to create, modify, and set up products and price plans.
Click the Costs tab to create, modify, and set up costs.
Click the Customer Profiles tab to create, modify, and set up modeled or real customers.
Click the Shared Objects tab to create, modify, and set up pricing macros and translation tables.
Click the Control tab to set up the simulation parameters.
When the configuration is complete and verified, you can run the simulation.
