Creating a new chargeable item package

With the main window, you can create a tree that represents a chargeable item package consisting of chargeable item classes and properties.

Note: The following procedure includes the procedures to add a new chargeable item class and a new user property.

To create a chargeable item package

  1. In the New Simulation window, click the Elements tab.

  2. In the Chargeable Item Packages area, click . The New Chargeable Item Package window is displayed.

  3. In the Name field, type a unique identifier of the chargeable item package. For example: “Telephone Service”. You can describe the chargeable item package in the Description field if necessary.

  4. On the Elements toolbar, click to add a new chargeable item class.

  5. In the Name field, type the identifier of the chargeable item class. For example: “Call”.

  6. On the Definition tab, select the type of the chargeable item class.

  7. In the tree display area of the chargeable item class area, click User properties, and then do the following:

  1. Verify the structure of the chargeable item package by clicking on the main window toolbar. Correct all the elements underlined in red.

  2. Save the chargeable item package.

Notes: The name of a chargeable item package must be unique in SAP Convergent Charging, regardless of its owner.

  • To add more chargeable item classes, click in the tree display area of the chargeable item package to activate the button representing the chargeable item classes on the Elements toolbar.

  • To add more user properties to a chargeable item class, click User properties.

  • To remove chargeable item classes or user properties from the tree of the chargeable item package, right-click the relevant icon in the tree display area of the chargeable item package, and then select Remove.
