The figure below illustrates the main concepts linked to the management of pricing and dates in a subscription. It shows a subscription to an offer containing a suboffer and a charge.
During this subscription, several events occur:
A period of suspension for the suboffer then later for the offer itself, during which no usage or recurring rates can occur
A period of fixed (frozen) prices
An early cancellation, which may or may not attract early cancellation fees, depending on how the offer is set up
An End Obligation Date can also be specified for the subscription. If the customer cancels the subscription before this date, penalties will apply such as extra fees. Penalties will not apply if the customer cancels the subscription after the End Obligation Date.
