Using a range table in monitoring plans

When designing monitoring plans, you must design and configure a particular range table (and its class).

Prerequisites

You must at least:

• Configure one spending status description in the SAP CC system

• Configure a range table class to define the conversion logic between monitored counters and reported spending statuses

Task

To create a range table for a monitoring plan

This procedure consists in creating a range table for configuring the logic to convert at runtime a counter value (in a contract) to a label value of a spending status (in a report).

1. Create a range table

2. Set up the following elements:

3. Select the appropriate range table class dedicated to the configuration of monitoring plans

4. In the Table Instance tab, add a row for each label value configured in the spending status description that this range table relates to. You can configure more rows depending on your business requirements.

5. Set up the ranges and the output values for each threshold according to the configuration of the spending status description and according to your business requirements. An output value must strictly be equal to one label configured in the spending status description. If the upper bound of the last defined range is bounded (and not +∞), the SAP CC system cannot convert a counter value to a label value in the related spending status. The reported spending status is undefined.
