Saving a range table

Once you have created or modified a range table, and then verified it, you are ready to save it. You can save the range table to either the database or as an XML file on your hard disk.

To save a new range table to the database

  1. From the menu bar in the main window, select File > Save > In the Database. The Save in the catalog dialog box opens.

  2. Select the name of the catalog.

  3. Click Save. The Range Table Creation dialog box opens to inform you that the range table has been successfully saved.

  4. Click OK.

To save a new version of an existing range table to the database

Note: If a Warning dialog box opens to inform you that the range table has been modified since you opened it, you can:

  1. Click Overwrite and then Yes to overwrite the changes performed by another user. Clicking No enables you to come back to the range table.

  2. Click Cancel to come back to the range table. See later in this chapter how to save the range table as an XML file.

  1. From the menu bar in the main window, select File > Save > In the Database. A dialog box opens to ask if you want to save the range table.

  2. Click Yes. The Save Version window opens.

  3. In this window, select one of the following options:

  1. Click Save. The Range Table Modification dialog box opens to inform you that the range table has been successfully created.

  1. Click OK.

To save a range table as an XML file

  1. From the menu bar in the main window, select File > Save > In a File. The Save dialog box opens.

  2. Select a directory to save the range table.

  3. In the File name field, type the name of the file.

  4. Click Save. The range table is saved as an XML file in your selected directory.
