Creating a range table class

Use one of these procedures to create a range table class.

To create a range table class

  1. From the menu bar in the main window, select File > New > Range Table Class. The Choose Owner window opens.

  2. In the Owner drop-down menu, select the owner of the range table class.

  3. Click OK. The New Range Table Class window opens.

  4. Set up the range table class.

  5. Verify the range table class structure by clicking the Verify icon on the main window toolbar. Correct all elements underlined in red.

  6. Save the range table class.

Note: Once you have saved a range table class, you can no longer modify its table schema as soon as the class is referred by a range table or a subscriber range table. You can always modify the description and the additional information.

 

You can create a range table class by opening an existing range table class and copying it.

To create a range table class from an existing range table class

  1. From the menu bar in the main window, select File > Open > Range Table Class. The Open Range Table Class dialog box opens.

  2. In the Owner drop-down menu, select the owner of the range table class.

  3. In the Range Table Classes folder of the catalog of the owner, select the range table class to copy.

  4. Select the Open a Copy check box, and then click Open. The corresponding range table class window opens.

  5. Modify the new range table class if necessary.

  1. Verify the range table class structure by clicking the Verify icon on the main window toolbar. Correct all elements underlined in red.

  2. Save the new range table class.
