The Counters tab allows you to view the counters of the provider contract which are shared with several contract items inside the provider contract and their current value. If the provider contract is a parent contract or a linked contract, the Counters tab displays the pool of counters shared with these provider contracts. The tab is dimmed when no counter is shared inside or outside the provider contract.
The fields of the Counters tab cannot be edited. Use the Counters tab of each contract item.
Name: Displays the name of the shared counter.
Status: Displays the status of the shared counters:
Shared Within Contract: The counter is shared with all the contract items of the provider contract. See the counters of a contract item for more details.
Shared With Linked Contracts: The counter is shared with all the contract items of the provider contract and is also shared with all the linked contracts. This status is only available with a parent contract.
Shared With Other Contracts: The counter is shared with all the contract items of the provider contract and is also shared with all the contracts that have the same parent. This status is only available with a provider contract linked to a parent contract to share a pool of counters.
Namespace: Displays the namespace of the shared counter. If there is no namespace, this field is set to None.
Value: Displays the current value of the shared counter. If the counter has no value because it has not been initialized yet, the value is set to "Not Yet Initialized". This means that no usage event (customer service consumption) and no activation has occurred yet. If the provider contract is linked to a provider contract, the shared counters are stored in a pool in the parent contract.
