Exporting a monitoring plan

You can export monitoring plans to a directory of your hard disk, where they are saved as XML files.

Unlike the process of simply saving an object to a file, the export process saves all versions and associated data objects to a file, allowing you to transport it by importing the monitoring plan back into another SAP CC system.

Note: This export operation does not export the necessary business data (counter names, spending status descriptions). Refer to the prerequisites of the import operation for more information.

 

To export a monitoring plan

  1. From the menu bar in the main window, select File > Export. The Choose Object dialog box opens.

  2. In the Owner drop-down menu, select the owner of the monitoring plan.

  3. In the pricing catalog of the owner, select the monitoring plan.

  4. Click OK. The Save dialog box opens.

  5. Select a directory to export the monitoring plan.

  6. In the File name field, type the name of the file.

  7. Click Save.
