Creating a mapping table class

Use one of these procedures to create a mapping table class.

To create a mapping table class

  1. From the menu bar in the main window, select File > New > Mapping Table Class. The Choose Owner window opens.

  2. In the Owner drop-down menu, select the owner of the mapping table class.

  3. Click OK. The New Mapping Table Class window opens.

  4. Set up the mapping table class.

  5. Verify the mapping table class structure by clicking the Verify icon on the main window toolbar. Correct all elements underlined in red.

  6. Save the mapping table class.

Note: Once you have saved a mapping table class, you can no longer modify it.

 

You can create a mapping table class by opening an existing mapping table class and copying it.

To create a mapping table class from an existing mapping table class

  1. From the menu bar in the main window, select File > Open > Mapping Table Class. The Open Mapping Table Class dialog box opens.

  2. In the Owner drop-down menu, select the owner of the mapping table class.

  3. In the Mapping Table Classes folder of the catalog of the owner, select the mapping table class to copy.

  4. Select the Open a Copy check box, and then click Open. The corresponding mapping table class window opens.

  5. Modify the new mapping table class if necessary.

  1. Verify the mapping table class structure by clicking the Verify icon on the main window toolbar. Correct all elements underlined in red.

  2. Save the new mapping table class.
