Opening the billable item mapping

Use this procedure to open the billable item mapping.

Note: You cannot open the billable item mapping from a file.

To open the billable item mapping saved in the database

  1. From the menu bar in the main window, select File > Open > Billable Item Mapping. The Open Billable Item Mapping dialog box opens.

  2. In the Billable Item Class list of the dialog box, select the billable item mapping that you want to open.

  3. Click OK. The window of the billable item mapping opens.

 

Note: The window of the billable item mapping consists of two panes. The left pane displays the tree of nodes and the right pane displays the name of the billable item mapping or the name of the selected node, and the Definition tab.

The Definition tab displays the target (Billable Item Class) and the source (Charged Item Class) of the billable item mapping. The icon allows you to refresh the billable item mapping (synchronization with the SAP ERP/FI-CA reference system). The icon allows you to open the charged item class, and then modify it if necessary.

If you click a node, the Definition tab displays the following fields:

  • Source

  • Type

  • Field Type

  • Length

  • Decimal Length

  • Size (Bytes)

If you click the SUBPROCESS and BITTYPE nodes, the Definition tab displays respectively:

  • The value of the SUBPROCESS node

  • The values of the BITTYPE node which are associated to the SUPROCESS node

If you use SAP Convergent Charging with an SAP ERP system, you may need to assign the values of the SUBPROCESS and BITTYPE nodes to the respective nodes of the charged item class associated to the billable item mapping (refer to Setting up a charged item class).
