Creating an aggregation policy

Use one of the following procedures to create an aggregation policy.

To create an aggregation policy

  1. From the menu bar in the main window, select File > New > Aggregation Policy. The Choose Owner dialog box opens.

  2. In the Owner of Object drop-down menu, select the owner of the aggregation policy.

  3. Click OK. The New Aggregation Policy window opens.

  4. Set up the aggregation policy.

  5. Verify the structure of the aggregation policy by clicking the Verify icon on the main window toolbar. Correct all elements underlined in red.

  6. Save the aggregation policy.

 

You can create an aggregation policy by opening an existing one and copying it.

To create an aggregation policy from an existing one

  1. From the menu bar in the main window, select File > Open > Aggregation Policy. The Select an Aggregation Policy dialog box opens.

  2. In the Owner drop-down menu, select the owner of the aggregation policy.

  3. In the Aggregation Policies folder of the catalog of the owner, select the aggregation policy.

  4. Select the Open a Copy check box, and then click Open. The window of the corresponding aggregation policy opens.

  5. Rename the aggregation policy in the Name field, and then set up the aggregation policy as necessary.

  6. Verify the aggregation policy structure by clicking the Verify icon on the main window toolbar. Correct all elements underlined in red.

  7. Save the aggregation policy.
