The business data is configured in the SAP CC system; First configure necessary business data with Core Tool.
The steps below outline the order in which you create and define new objects when you work with charge plans, refill plans, and provider contracts.
Note: Some of the steps can be performed in an external provisioning system. |
1. Create a pricing catalog for the customer service of a service provider |
2. Import the price table if you want to use recurring fees defined in SAP CRM |
3. Implement the allowance feature (step optional if you do not use allowances in your charge or in your refill logic). For more information, refer to allowances.
If SAP CC is connected to SAP ERP, you must first set up this implementation. |
4. Create chargeable item classes (*) (*) This step is optional if you do not use a usage rate component in your charge. For more information, refer to About chargeable item classes. If SAP CC is connected to SAP ERP, you must first create the consumption item mapping. |
6. Create charged item classes If SAP CC is connected to SAP ERP, you must first create the billable item mapping. |
7. Create the necessary counter names in the dictionary |
8. Create a charge plan and customize charges for each chargeable subservice of a customer service:
Option: If you want to implement top-up or refill services in a prepaid environment, you configure the data as described in steps 9 to 11. |
Option: If you want to implement spending status monitoring services in your system landscape, you configure the business data and master data as described in steps 12 to 15. |
12. Create the necessary spending status descriptions that must be jointly known by the policy or monitoring system and the SAP CC system |
13. Create dedicated range table classes that define the structure of range tables suitable for configuring monitoring plans |
14. Create the necessary range tables that define the spending thresholds of spending status labels |
This ends the configuration of the master data related to the service provider in his pricing catalog. |
This master data is used in a CRM application to combine charge plans and refill plans in commercial products that end customers can subscribe to. |
The master data related to the end customers (mostly subscriber accounts and provider contracts) is automatically created in SAP CC when the system is connected to an external provisioning system or CRM application. You can simulate these creations. |
16. Create a subscriber account
Option: You can create a subscriber mapping table or some subscriber range tables for this subscriber account. |
17. Create a provider contract
Option: You can create a subscriber mapping table or subscriber range table for each provider contract relating to the new subscriber account. |
18. Correct if necessary
