About user profiles

SAP CC Core Tool uses your login and password to give you a unique user ID. Only administrators and user administrators can create new user profiles for SAP CC users.

An SAP CC user is a person (individual user) or a machine (service user) who is:

Note: To restrict access and control rights to users, you can also associate a list of authorized accesses with each user profile.

When SAP CC Core Tool is running, you cannot log on to it by using another user name. To change the user name, you must close Core Tool and relaunch it with the user name and password of the new user.

Roles are predefined levels of authorization that grant users specific access and control rights within the SAP CC system. The various roles that are available and the level of authority associated with each role is listed in the table below.

Important:

  • If you are assigned a user administrator role, inform your system administrator before changing your password. The system administrator must update a specified configuration file (refer to the SAP CC Installation Guide: Help resources) each time you change your password.

  • You are not allowed to modify provider contracts in Core Tool with a production landscape. You can only read the provider contract. To modify a provider contract, you must use a CRM or an external provisioning system connected to SAP Convergent Charging.
