About the counter name dictionary

The counter name dictionary defines a set of counter names to be used in charge plans and refill plans when declaring counters. Each counter name must be unique in the dictionary. Each entry of the dictionary must describe the counter that can be declared in a plan.

This dictionary is part of the business data configured in the complete SAP CC system. It is not included in the pricing catalog of a service provider.

Notes:

In charge plans, the names defined in the counter name dictionary can be used only for counters whose visibility is set to external.
In monitoring plans, you use this dictionary to define which counter of contracts can be monitored and reported to a policy or monitoring system.

When one or two charge plans and a refill plan use the same counter name, you can define this counter as shareable in the provider contract. Refer to the procedures to share counters with several contract items or with multiple provider contracts.
