Caution: Read the caution about the billable item mapping before deleting a refill record class. |
The refilling process creates business transactions called refill records. With refill record classes, you can retrieve and configure the information included in the refill records. Through the mapping of a billable item class, SAP Convergent Charging then sends this information to a billing system such as an SAP ERP system or any other external system.
|
Note: A refill record class is similar to a charged item class that is used by a charge plan. |
In SAP CC Core Tool, a table represents a refill record class. Each row in the table represents a property whose type can be a string, a number, a date, or a boolean. The table allows you to configure how the system generates these values.
You can create and use refill record classes for:
An SAP ERP system
Any other external system
If you want to send refill record classes to an external billing system or any other external system, you must create the refill record classes from scratch, and then set them up.
Because you know the contents of the transactions resulting from the refilling processes, you can define and set up the data of your refill record classes accordingly to retrieve information from the transactions. Your system billing or another system receives and uses this information.
SAP Convergent Charging is integrated with SAP ERP/FI-CA for managing high-volume data. SAP Convergent Charging can:
Produce billable items asynchronously from the refill records
Send the billable items to one ore more SAP ERP system
You must map refill record classes onto billable item classes. SAP Convergent Charging generates automatically the billable item mapping. To do that, you create a refill record class from the mapping of a billable item class when you create the billable item mapping. Refer to About billable item mapping for more information when using an SAP ERP system.
