About price plans

A price plan is a set of instructions that computes the amount of a charge. A price plan is represented by a rating tree.

Calculations in a price plan are only performed when the charge is triggered by:

(*) Represented in SAP CC by a chargeable item class.

Important: Read the topic about taxes because you can include or not the taxes in price plans.

Before starting

 

Caution: We strongly recommend that you do not modify the structure of price plans in existing charges that are already customized in a released charge plan.

You can however modify existing charges already inserted in a released charge plan by adding to or removing from price plans any component with the exception of RECURRING RATES or ONE-SHOT RATES components.

If you want to add RECURRING RATES or ONE-SHOT RATES components to an existing charge already customized in a released charge plan, you must do the following:

  • Create a new charge in which you insert the one or more new components

  • Create and release a new charge plan by adding the new charge

  • Update the provider contracts to add a contract item referring to the new charge plan
