Characteristics

Charges can have main and secondary characteristics. You define main characteristics when you create a reusable charge. When you customize charges inside a charge plan, you give them secondary characteristics and you can redefine some main characteristics.

Once you have selected the charges that you want to add to a charge plan, you can redefine some of their main characteristics and assign secondary characteristics to them. The setup choices made for a particular charge plan only apply to this charge plan.

Main characteristics

When you create it, the charge can have the following characteristics:

Redefinition

You cannot change the charge type when the charge is included in a charge plan, but you can modify initial values of parameters.

When you incorporate a charge into a charge plan, you can redefine its parameters if you have set the Visibility field to “External”.

You cannot add further content to a translation table from within a charge plan.

Note: Main characteristics are redefined on the Parameters tab and the Counters tab of the customized charge.

Secondary characteristics

A charge has several secondary characteristics which you define when you customize a charge in a charge plan:

Secondary characteristics are only valid in the charge plan to which they have been assigned. If you reuse this charge in another charge plan, you can redefine secondary characteristics for the new charge plan.
