An audit object is an administration object. You can create an audit object to search for user operations in the back-end database. According to the criteria of the audit object, you can search for all user operations which can be audited. User operations are tasks that modify the database. For example, creating an object is a user operation.
Audits are stored in the database if the audit function is activated in the configuration files. For more information, refer to your administrator and consult the SAP CC Configuration Guide.
The elements of the audit window enable you to create an audit object. Using specific filters, an audit allows administrators to query the database of the SAP CC system for a user operation search. You can retrieve specific user operations by using a filter. The filter consists of criteria rows that specify the characteristics of the user operations you want to retrieve.
You can audit:
Any operation that modifies the database or the server state
Any operation that does not modify the database such as:
Search relating to objects (audits, for example)
Server system shutdown
SAP CC user authentication
Aging report execution
Any unsuccessful operation that does not modify the database
